Sunan at-Tirmithiy

A Bedouin entered the mosque while the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, was sitting [there] and prayed. When he was done, he said, "O God, have mercy on Muḥammad and me, and do not have mercy on anyone else but us." The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, turned to him and said, "You have limited what is broad(1)." A moment later, the Bedouin urinated in the mosque, so people rushed at him. The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Pour a bucket of water over it." He then added, "Indeed, you have been sent forth as people who make things easy, not as people who make things difficult (2)". Footnotes: (1) The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, meant that the Bedouin had unjustifiably favored himself over others and restricted what God has granted for all. (2) This statement by the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, indicates that pouring water was enough to purify the place, and that there was no need for removing the soil, or any other further complications.
